Update on the Wall-To-Wall Cross-Country Bicycle Ride

Everyday is a new challenge – blisters, sunburn, hydration and battling headwinds across the dry landscape of Arizona. Yet, former NFL player and U.S. Marine Jeremy Staat is quick to point out, "Guys on the Vietnam Wall would love to be out here riding."

Staat teamed up with buddy Iraq War Veteran Wesley Barrientos. He's a three-time Purple Heart Recipient and double amputee. During a third Iraq deployment, Barrientos lost both his legs when his vehicle was blown up by a roadside bomb.

Together, Staat and Barrientos started the Jeremy Staat Foundation and formed the Wall-To-Wall Cross-Country Bicycle team.

Their mission is to draw attention to veterans' issues as they ride 4,163 miles through 15 states in over 100 days, reaching the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day.
