Purple Heart Member nominated to be National Geographic's Adventurer of the Year

Our own Purple Heart Member and expedition leader for Operation Denali, has been nominated to be National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year.

You can read about it here . . . . .

We are thrilled that he is being honored among an amazing group of people The only disappointment of this recognition is that it is an individual award -- this is/should be a team recognition.  Every member of the Operation Denali team poured their heart and soul in to the effort.  They made it happen and their inspirational example continues to impact wounded warrior’s like us every day.

In addition to coverage in the Dec/Jan print edition of Adventure magazine, National Geographic is allowing readers to select a Reader's Choice award recipient from this year's class of Adventurers of the Year via online voting.  You can vote right now at the following link…just notice that a 10 is the best, a 1 is the worst when you vote, some folks have gotten it backwards (so we need even more votes to fix it!)

I’d ask everyone to activate your social networks and please generate as many votes as possible in an effort to continue to let the world know about the mission of Operation Denali.  This is a great way to further the message of Operation Denali and those who supported it.

The team site has also been updated with a great new article in USO’s On Patrol, radio interviews and post climb pictures and an expedition journal.  Check it out!

Please spread the word and vote for the Readers Choice award and let me know if you need more info!

Thanks for your support and remember “START VOTING NOW AND VOTE OFTEN”
