The MOPH adds three new association links to assist Veterans

The Military Order of the Purple Heart announces three new
association links
that have been added to the National Website!

FedsHireVets.gov - a critical component of President Obama's Veterans Employment Initiative. This website will become the main source for Veterans employment information and resources for both Veterans and Hiring Officials. Today's launch represents phase one of an ongoing effort to help the men and women who have served our country in the military and their families find employment in the Federal Civil Service.

Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF) - Providing homes to committee-selected families of warriors injured in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Ken Eakes, Executive Director of MWSF, says, “We are pleased that we have been able to begin this project! No doubt providing homes to wounded warriors will ease the financial stress of the families we grant homes”. MWSF aims to provide homes to several families in various parts of the nation, with focus on areas where MWSF can provide ongoing life skills assistance to the families chosen. The application process will begin in late January and will be open to all combat injured wounded warriors through a downloadable application available on the MWSF website. The application process has been scheduled to begin early in 2010. MWSF is working through some details to ensure a smooth relocation process for our families.

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) - offers cutting-edge training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 military veterans disabled as a result of their service. The EBV opens the door to entrepreneurship and small business ownership to veterans by developing competencies in accounting, human resources, marketing, advertising, financing, small business law, government contracts, and business planning.
